Caitlin Fahey Crow

is an Albquerque-based freelance cellist and artist-teacher with a studio of student artists in New Mexico and California. She began cello studies at age 6 with her primary teacher Anne Cole. Caitlin studied cello pedagogy with Dr. Tanya Carey from 2009 to 2015 and has registered courses with the Suzuki Association of the Americas in all Suzuki Cello Units 1 through 10. Additionally, Caitlin has studied with Vivian Barton (Philadelphia Orchestra/Santa Fe Opera), David Schepps (University of New Mexico), Charles Curtis (UC San Diego), and Yao Zhao (San Diego Symphony).

Her continuing education includes Suzuki Principles in Action (January 2016), Music Mind Games Unit 1 Teacher Training with Michiko Yurko (January 2018), and Bow Hold/Shifting/Vibrato enrichment with Shu-Yi Scott (January 2021). Caitlin also holds a B.S. with a Pre-Med concentration/German minor cum laude from the University of New Mexico, and a M.Ed. with a concentration in Montessori education from Loyola University Maryland.

Caitlin is a member of the SAA and a former board member of SMAC-SDB (Suzuki Music Association of California, San Diego Branch). Past engagements include principal cellist of the La Jolla Symphony, cellist/vocalist for OrchidxMantis, soloist/principal cello with City Ballet Orchestra, principal cello for Opera Neo, CL Duo with violinist Lauren Mindoro, Duo Elena with flautist Elena Yarritu and harpist Elena Mashkovtseva, La Jolla Summerfest, Orchestra Nova, California Chamber Orchestra, San Diego Musical Theater, Orvit Ensemble, and the Nathan Hubbard Quartet.

Caitlin and her husband Isaac (a percussionist, composer and bassist) enjoy collaborating on musical projects.


Isaac Crow

is an Albuquerque-based drummer, bassist and artist-teacher with a studio of student artists in New Mexico and California. He holds a Masters degree in Jazz Performance (drum set and string bass) from San Diego State University. His continuing education includes Every Child Can (Suzuki philosophy), Suzuki Bass School Book 1, and the study of a wide array of digital audio workstations: GarageBand, Logic, and Ableton. He is passionate about composition and particularly enjoys composing etudes for his students. Drawing inspiration from legendary painter/educator Bob Ross Mr. Crow encourages his studio artists to create/record their own compositions. Published student singles, ep’s and complete albums can be found here on the Crow Studios label.
